Course Outline

Financial challenges are among the most common issues faced by low income families. The ultimate goal of social service professionals, apart from providing immediate assistance to these families, is to help them lead sustainable lives.

This seminar provides insights on the financial planning process and how it applies to low income families or families with financial problems. Two useful tools will be examined which could help families gradually break out of the poverty cycle.

Trainer

Mr Ng Choon Jin is a trained accountant and is currently a non-practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Singapore. He has been in the finance industry for more than 10 years across various roles and is currently the CEO of the training arm of an independent investment consulting film. In his various roles across his career, Mr Ng has trained both finance professionals and also the man in the street and he brings with him a balanced view from both the point of the consumer and also the seller of various financial products. His involvement in community work since his varsity days also gives him an appreciation of the needs and challenges of lower income families. This allows him to bring across relevant financial knowledge to help them better plan for themselves.
